Terms of Service

Hackers School is a practice-first mentorship platform for CTF, binary exploitation, kernel fuzzing, and kernel pwn. We guide learners through existing challenges using a structured path.

Last updated: February 23, 2026

1. Scope of Service

These Terms apply to your use of our website, training tracks, mentor feedback, community spaces, and related tools ("Services"). Hackers School is an educational platform. We do not provide vulnerable infrastructure or private test labs. We are not authorizing you to test third-party systems, and we are not a bug bounty coordinator.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to purchase paid Services. You are responsible for all activity on your account and for keeping your credentials secure. Account sharing is not allowed unless we explicitly approve it in writing.

3. Waitlist and Early Access

Some Services may be released in phases. Joining a waitlist or making an early purchase does not guarantee immediate availability of every feature, track, review slot, or cohort. We may prioritize onboarding, roll out features gradually, or pause access for platform security and stability.

4. Billing, Subscriptions, and Refunds

Prices, billing cadence, and plan details are shown at checkout and become part of your purchase terms. Payments are processed by third parties (including Polar) and are also subject to their terms. Unless we state otherwise at checkout, fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law. If your plan is recurring, you authorize recurring charges until canceled.

5. Authorized Use and Legal Boundaries

Training material is for defensive security education and authorized testing only. You may practice against:

  • public challenge platforms whose terms allow participation;
  • your own systems; or
  • systems where you have explicit written authorization.

You must not use our content or tooling for unauthorized access, data theft, disruption, malware distribution, credential abuse, or other unlawful activity.

6. Community and Mentorship Rules

  • Respect other learners, mentors, and staff.
  • No harassment, threats, hate speech, or doxxing.
  • No posting sensitive personal data or stolen data.
  • No impersonation of mentors, staff, or other members.

Mentor feedback and code review are educational guidance, not legal advice, professional pentest deliverables, or guaranteed real-time support.

7. Challenge Integrity and Fair Use

To keep practice meaningful for everyone, you agree not to leak active challenge answers, flags, private writeups, or paid walkthrough content when disclosure violates challenge rules or platform terms. You also agree not to abuse automation against challenge platforms, our website, or community channels.

8. Content, Licenses, and IP

Hackers School and its licensors own the platform, learning structure, curriculum, videos, and branding. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access purchased content for personal learning. You retain ownership of code or notes you submit, and you grant us a license to store, display, and process those submissions to operate, secure, and improve the Services.

9. Certificates and Outcomes

If we offer completion certificates, they represent training progress on our platform only. They are not government-issued credentials and do not guarantee employment, competition results, bug bounty payouts, or specific security outcomes.

10. Service Disclaimers

Services are provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee uninterrupted uptime, permanent availability of every third-party challenge, or error-free operation. We may modify or remove content, tracks, and features over time.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hackers School is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, business interruption, or reputational harm arising from or related to your use of the Services.

12. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create legal or security risk, or abuse the platform. You may stop using the Services at any time. Sections that should survive termination, including payment obligations and legal protections, will remain in effect.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as the platform evolves. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and may provide additional notice. Continued use after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
